Still not convinced? What the FAQ!

How can I be sure you’ll deliver high-quality work?

  • I’ve written in over 20 different niches. Trying on different tones of voice for size is my retail therapy. I’ll happily provide samples - just let me know what you’d like to see and I’ll have a rummage around in the copy chest.

  • I studied English at the University of Cambridge. To clear up a popular misconception, this doesn’t mean I’m clever. But it does mean that I research at top speed, communicate clearly, and have exceptional attention to detail. Even if I do say so myself.

  • And here’s what past clients have said specifically about the quality of my work:

"Helen wrote excellent copy"

“Her work is the highest quality”

“She perfectly captured the tone of voice”

"We would recommend Helen to any business in need of thorough and insightful content"

I’ve not collaborated with freelancers before.

What if you’re not a good fit?

  • For extra reassurance, I can complete a short, paid test project, before we commit to a longer stint of work.

  • And here’s what past clients had to say specifically about the process of working with me:

“We felt comfortable trusting Helen”

“Helen followed our established house style”

“Helen is reliable and her processes are efficient”

“She demonstrated great communication”

“Helen liaised with our design and development team to gain a strong understanding of our work”

"She took us through a comprehensive thought process to tease out what sets our business apart from the competition"

Will you work with my budget?

  • I charge flat project fees based on exactly what you need and the outcomes you want to see. So you know upfront exactly what you’re going to pay. I will offer you different options to work with your budget.

  • Poor copy comes with its own hidden costs. It’s unprofessional and can cause irreparable damage to your reputation.

  • When I asked a returning client for a testimonial he volunteered “her fees represent great value” without me specifically asking for comment on value for money. Book me quickly before I realise I’m chronically undercharging and raise my rates.

Will you be able to cope with the workload and deadlines?

  • I’ve worked in TV production for a decade. If you find an industry with higher workloads, tighter turnarounds and more pressure to deliver, I'll eat my hip East London beanie.

  • Before I commit to any project we’ll discuss the quantity of deliverables and the turnaround. I will only agree to work with you if I know I can deliver what you need.

  • On our discovery call we’ll establish the best mode of communication and go through project management processes.

  • And here’s what my past clients had to say specifically about my speed and efficiency:

“Her process is efficient”

“She got up to speed within hours”

"Helen demonstrated great time management, maintaining amazing communication”

“We quickly published without need for further revisions or heavy editing”

"She delivered on time and with very good communication throughout"
